Happy 12th Birthday to Google!!!

On the earlier years, Google celebrated their birthday on the 7th of September. For the past few years though, they moved the date to September 27. On the occasion of Google Birthday as on 7th Sept. New Google Logo, also called a Google Doodle was introduce on Google Homepage. In this logo we are able to chase balls of different color.

On September 7, 1998, Google Inc. opened its door in Menlo Park, California. The door came with a remote control, as it was attached to the garage of a friend who sublet space to the new corporationâ's staff of three. The office offered several big advantages, including a washer and dryer and a hot tub. It also provided a parking space for the first employee hired by the new company: Craig Silverstein, now Google's director of technology. Already Google.com, still in beta, was answering 10,000 search queries each day. The press began to take notice of the upstart website with the relevant search results, and articles extolling Google appeared in USA TODAY and Le Monde. That December, PC Magazine named Google one of its Top 100 Web Sites and Search Engines for 1998. Google was moving up in the world.

Now as the web search engine Google celebrates its 12th birthday, it is hard to imagine life online without it. It has become such an indispensable tool that we don't just search for something any more, we "google" it, as recognised by the Oxford English Dictionary in 2006. What many people don't realise is that Google's rise to become one of the most successful search engines on the web today is due to the mathematical algorithm PageRank, devised by Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page, the founders of Google. This algorithm not only decides which webpages match your search criteria (which all search engines do), but also which are more important and returns these at the top of the results.

PageRank decides how important a page is by staging a popularity contest with each page on the web voting for all the other pages it links to. The algorithm constructs a huge matrix with a column representing each web page. The entries of the column corresponding to a page P indicate which other pages P links to. The page P passes on a proportion of its own importance to those pages it links to, and its own importance is calculated by adding up all the contributions made by the other pages linking to it. This all sounds pretty circular, but in fact calculating this importance vector is relatively straight-forward using linear algebra techniques, despite the fact that the matrix involved has over 25 billion rows and columns. (You can read more in The amazing librarian, a runner-up in the Plus new writers award 2008.)

The maths behind Google highlights the relevance of maths in our daily lives and shows the vital role it has to play in industries, especially the information sector. But it must also be the most lucrative piece of maths in history, as this mathematical advance is directly responsible for much of Google's success and so the company's $4 billion dollar profit in 2007.

But what do you give the organisation that has everything (well, the whole web anyway)? What Google wants for its birthday are ideas that can change the world by helping as many people as possible. They have launched Project 10^100, and are asking everyone to submit their life-changing ideas by 20 October 2008, and they will put the best 100 ideas up for public vote. The vote will determine the 20 finalists, and 5 of these will be chosen to share the $10 million funding that Google hopes will make these ideas happen.

So, not only has maths changes our lives by opening up the world wide web through Google's algorithm, the money this maths has made Google might just make the world a better place too.

Once Again...Happy Birthday Google..!!

How to use SpyPig for getting “read receipt”?

In my last post i told about spypig, a email tracker..In this post i will tell you how to use spypig..
Have a look at the interface of the spypig-

So what you have to do it just fill the form-

1) Start composing your new email in your email account. Make sure that you use an HTML-formatted email, and NOT a plain-text or rich-text email(if u don't use enable HTML-formatted text). Enter recipient’s email address, subject, body of the email, etc. So, complete your email in all respects; but, don’t send it yet.

2) Now go to SpyPig (see the above image for its interface). Enter your own email address (i.e., sender’s email and NOT the recipient’s email). Enter the email subject (copy from subject using Ctrl+C keys, and then paste it at SpyPig). Select the SpyPig tracking image; you can also select the hidden image (one that is with a while background); but remember that to ensure that this image remains hidden in your email contents, the background of your email contents should also be white. Enter the number of times you want to receive notifications for the recipient having read your email. Now click on “Activate my SpyPig” button.

3)The SpyPig image selected by you will now appear in the rectangle under the said button. Copy this SpyPig image from this rectangle with a right-mouse click (i.e., from the popup menu item showing copy image option), and then paste it anywhere into the body / contents of your email message that you’ve already prepared. Remember that you must do this fast and before the activation (when the countdown hits 0 second). So, you’ve about 60 seconds’ time from the time of showing the image, copying it and pasting it in your email body. This is important. If you paste it after the activation, i.e., when the countdown on SpyPig hits 0 second, it may incorrectly think the recipient has opened your email and send you the notification email. To prevent this, simply click the button again to create and activate a new SpyPig image and paste it again, but do it fast.

4) Now, send your email as you’d usually send it, such as by clicking on Send button.

That’s it! SpyPig will now notify you by an email when the recipient will read your above tracked email. Don’t forget to check also your junk email or spam folder for your notification email from SpyPig.

enjoy spypig..

Why I still luv her so much??

For me, the hardest thing in this lovely universe is to understand love, Most of mah comrades often say 'U r in luv' but if u'll ask me 'what z luv??'. That z the only question which i couldn't ans. From mah own thinking,i dont knw why teenagers r so eager and so desperate to having boyfriends/girlfriends. They desperately want to know what it is like to have someone who don't have any blood-relation with you, cares about you and say all those sweet and romantic things. It is not like 'I' am against people having their love at first sight. It is just that because i don't think it is necessary to get involved in a relationship, that u knew that it will endup sooner or later,or u may be married to someone else in future.
Some of mah comrades thought it is cool to have a bf/gf, so that u can show them to your friends, it is just something u can proud of, because u r able to tackle a guy/girl to involved in a relationship with you, But i think this does not suits to me, because i m not interested to tackle any girl. I had always loved one,Nothing New, it happens with most of the human. Surprising thing is that she don't want to talk to me, then i still want to talk 2 her, whether i just wish to be 200km away from the word 'Love'. This question becomes more important when during my internship i was asked to define 'Love',.
Finally i figure out love is a feeling, but my senior does not want a definition based on lexicon, he wanted the definition to be from me. Then suddenly on the spot something past across my mind, I had just thought about my first or last Love or Crush, which was towards a girl, we were in same school and coaching, i don't know how did it happened?? But i just suddenly remember about her,I will always try to look at her face, well the more proper word is to 'Spy', whenever i get chance to do it, Always want to listen her voice, as her voice was so special for me, Generally my heartbeat get increased by her voice,Always want to chat with her, Always want to read her chats to know with whom she is chatting?? ohh sry!! Not now, perhaps this was the reason she does not want to talk me anymore..Then why i still Luv her, Why she is still in mah mind.
This question had stolen my many nights, Then i remembered another thing it was not a crush, i really love her because a kind of saw at her face, i was mesmerized by her smile. lips and hairs..
So finally I found a very convincing definition from my point of view "Humans actually are not able to define love with words, they can only define it with actions that they have taken to do towards the people they love." Furthermore love can never die, love is always alive...i dont know how much i got is correct.?? still searching the question Why i still love her..??

track ur email???

When you send an email from any of your email accounts, such as Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, or Windows Live Hotmail, etc., you won’t know if the recipient of your mail has read your email unless he replies to your mail. No emails clients provide delivery configuration..Are u just like me who always wants to know about their mail status..specially when the mails are prominent for u..when u send a mail to someone special its always goes imp has she/he has read ur mail???
Some email clients such as Outlook Express may allow you the option to include a “read request” with all your sent mails, so that when the recipient reads that mail, you’ll get a notification of that fact; however, there is no guarantee that you’ll get a read receipt because the recipient of your mail can opt out of sending such “read receipt”.
well, there are some other methods of ensuring that you’ll always (well, almost always!) get a “read receipt” from the recipient of your email when he reads your mail. even how many times he/she has read ur mail..Moreover, you can get more information from this “read receipt” such as his IP address, location, date and time of reading your mail, etc.
There is one such method for findind out..use this free service spypig, which is an online email tracking system. It is easy, simple and free. It will send you a notification email as soon as the recipient of your email (that is being tracked) opens and reads your email. SpyPig will work with almost all email programs and services such as, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, AOL, Outlook Express, Eudora, and many others.

How it works-

It is simple. You’ve to include a small image from SpyPig in your email message before sending it. Don’t worry. You can even include a small and hidden image from SpyPig (which is basically nothing but white background of about 1cm x 1cm size image with nothing in the foreground), so that your recipient will not come to know about that image. This image is then tracked by SpyPig. When the recipient of your tracked email opens your email, the image will also get opened automatically. So, SpyPig will immediately come to know that the image has been accessed. Accordingly, it will at once send you an email notification that your tracked email has been read by your recipient. In addition, you’ll also get information about the IP address of the recipient, his location (which is generally accurate and is found using the IP address; as well as details of date and time when he read your email, as also details of his browser, etc. whenever your recipients will open ur mail, u will get a notification..

Use pandora from anywhr by making a web proxy

pandora is an us web radio station. it is one of the most useful website on web..its an online radio station..in which you can listen songs of ur own choice. u can add add more music on a station on pandora..i think all of us knw about pandora who is a little bit interested about music. i m writing just because some days ago pandora does not allow users to listen outside the u.s.

now if u open pandora u'll see dis.

actually pandora traces the ip address from which computer we r logging in pandora and then traces the location of that ip address. so we have to hide our ip address to bluff them.

there are some tricks though which we can hide our ip address like make a proxy on web or vpn (virtual private network) or there is also a software "hide ur ip address" dat works sometime.

"hide ur ip address" software does not work sometime on pandora..and for vpn you need a vpn server..so the easiest way is to make a proxy on ur browser.i m giving u instruction for the firefox..

just open firbox and den go on tool icon and then click on option...

click on advanced and den go on setting-

click on manual proxy configuration...and then what you have to do...

you have to take the ipaddress and port of us..refer dis site..

and fill ip address and port and click on ok..

this will change your ip address located in U.K, USA. Your IP address is your online identity and hiding behind ours using the free proxy will enable you to become anonymous.

now you can check your changed ip address...

just go on

n u will see ur new ip address-

use dis service from anywhere and keep listenning songs of ur choice...
